On-campus Housing

Smith College has one 15-bedroom house for Graduate and Special Programs. The house is conveniently located at 44 Green Street, very near the Science Center, the Mendenhall Center, and Seelye Hall and College Hall where most of the students’ administrative needs are handled. Because of the limited number of bedrooms available, Residence Life gives priority to returning students and to international students. Then rooms are filled on a first-come/first-served basis. Email reslife@smith.edu for more information.

The costs for housing for the 2025–26 is $11,700 for the full year and $5,850 for a semester. Room with Board costs $23,360 for the full year and $11,680 for the semester.

Off-campus Housing

The majority of our students find off-campus rooms or apartments in or near Northampton. Please review resources offered here for additional information.

Parking Policies

Graduate students who drive to campus must purchase parking stickers for their vehicles. The cost is $100 for the year (through June). Students go to Parking at Smith to request a sticker via the online portal. Students should review the parking policies.

Registration of a vehicle by another person is prohibited. Smith employees may not purchase parking stickers for graduate and special programs students.
