Academics
Students come from all over the world to experience Smith’s academics. With an open curriculum, your journey is truly your own—try pairing a math major with a dance minor, and maybe add a concentration in global finance. Learning at Smith is limitless, with faculty members who are excited to help you make your dreams a reality.
I think it’s important to model the process of being teachable—of being willing to learn something new.

Dive Into Any Subject
As a small liberal arts college, Smith is poised to offer research positions to undergraduates that larger universities can’t.
The HSS (Humanities and Humanistic Social Science) labs program, created in the summer of 2021, provides students in the humanities with hands-on research experience alongside faculty members year-round, with 12 labs on campus. Combined with labs in nearly any STEM field, your options for research at Smith are innumerable.
