Shipping Belongings to Smith

The Campus Center’s lower level features a centralized mail facility for all incoming mail. Students are assigned a Unit Number for all their mail and package deliveries. A retail window is also available for purchasing shipping supplies and sending mail via USPS, UPS, and FedEx.

All incoming letters and packages should be addressed as follows: 

[Your Name]
Smith College
1 Chapin Way, Unit #[Your Assigned Unit Number]
Northampton, MA 01063

Please do not use the phrase “PO Box.” Letters and packages should not arrive earlier than 5 days prior to your arrival on campus.

We recommend shipping small packages via USPS and large packages via UPS or FedEx. To compare rates and create shipping labels, visit www.USPS.com, www.UPS.com, and www.FedEx.com.

Letters and packages are received at Mail Services, and students will receive an email notification when mail is ready for pick-up. There is a pick-up window at Mail Services for letters and packages, but you may receive an additional email notification that your package has been loaded into a locker. These self-service lockers are located next to the pick-up window, and this second email will contain a QR code and instructions on how to retrieve your package.
