Smith Spring Showcases

Curiosity. Creativity. Collaboration.

At Smith College, students have a wide range of opportunities to showcase their scholarly projects, creative talent, and innovative solutions to complex problems. Throughout the spring semester, students share their perspectives and present their research work, community engagement, and artistic and creative endeavors. The Smith Spring Showcase events illustrate the breadth and depth of the liberal arts and exemplify the Smith culture of inquiry, curiosity, and innovation. Students, faculty, staff, and community members are encouraged to attend these events, most of which are free of charge.

Amplify Competition

February 13, 2027

Amplify Day is a celebration of Smith students sharing their voices to bring about positive change. It includes a competition, gallery reception, and awards in Public Speaking, Public Writing, and a rotating Wild Card category. Sponsored by the Wurtele Center for Collaborative Leadership.

Smith in the World

March 5, 2027

The Smith in the World Conference celebrates the off-campus work students achieve through internships, community service, and research. Sponsored by the Lazarus Center for Career Development.

Joypalooza

April 9, 2027

Joypalooza, the final milestone in the Innovation Challenge, showcases the creativity of student change makers who explore real-world problems and develop sustainable, actionable solutions. Sponsored by the Conway Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center.
