Early Career

0–5 years post-graduation

With programs tailored to meet the unique needs of Smithies, our student to early career support is dedicated to empowering recent alums.

  • Access career advising support through the Lazarus Center for Career Development.
  • Attend events specifically designed for recent alums like you.
  • Connect with fellow Smithies interested in sharing information about their industry and field through our Career Networking portal.
  • Level up your skill set with early career content via our free LinkedIn Learning access for all alums.

Mid Career

5–20 years post-graduation

We offer programming dedicated to supporting alums as they advance from early career roles into mid-career positions and management roles. Targeted career and professional support helps alums navigate this critical transition and achieve their career aspirations.

  • Access free 1:1 Career Coaching offered by the Career Programs team.
  • Attend events and workshops specifically designed for this critical mid-career phase of your life.
  • Level up your skill set with mid-career content via our free LinkedIn Learning access for all alums. 
  • Give back to current Smith students by participating in the Career Connect mentoring program.

Late Career

20+ years post-graduation

As your career advances and evolves, so does our support. Our programs are designed to empower alums to lead with confidence.

  • Access 1:1 coaching, provided by Smith Alum Partner Coaches.
  • Attend events and workshops specifically designed for your experience level, with leadership in mind.
  • Add Smith talent to your team by posting jobs on our Smith Network Job Board, exclusively available to fellow Smithies.
  • Level up your skill set with executive and senior professional content via our free LinkedIn Learning access for all alums.

Promote your opportunities to recent graduates and Smith students by posting to Handshake, our internship and job database. This service is free to employers. In addition to reaching Smith’s student community, internship and job opportunities posted in Handshake are shared with our partners at Amherst College and Mount Holyoke College, and selected postings may be shared with other recruiting consortium college partners.
