SOFA Cushion Fund
The SOFA Cushion Fund is an arts-focused grant fund for Smith College students, faculty, and staff that aims to support creative collaborations at Smith by making funding available to a wide variety of projects across campus and between disciplines. SOFA aims to support the creation and presentation of arts projects and experiences that enhance the cultural landscape at Smith.
The Cushion Fund welcomes unique and innovative proposals that often otherwise lack funding and support, and that involve the arts and creative practice in broad terms.
Propose a Cushion Fund Project
Note that proposals under $500 will be reviewed on a rolling basis and those above $500 will be reviewed once each semester.
The spring 2025 deadline is March 14.
Info Sessions
Stop by our information sessions to learn more about the SOFA Cushion Fund, ask questions, and talk through proposal ideas. Lunch will be provided; please RSVP in advance.
Additional Funding Opportunities
There are several other sources of funding on campus for students, faculty, and staff—see if they’re a good fit for your project.
