Funding Opportunities
There are a number of funding sources for Smith undergraduates to help cover costs associated with special programs or needs, unanticipated events, or emergencies.
The Dean of the College also provides a listing of available funds for Smith undergraduates.
For Honors Thesis Projects
A memorial fund in honor of Nancy Kershaw Tomlinson was established to help student thesis writers pay for some of the expenses incurred in honors projects.
Tomlinson grants in any one year are limited and may not cover all of your expenses. Money is awarded as a reimbursement either to you or to your department here at Smith, so you will need to keep your original receipts. Awards are not always approved.
Alumnae Scholarships
If you are a senior or an alumna and anticipate entering your first year of graduate studies, you are eligible to apply for an alumnae scholarship. Awards are competitive and require a recommendation from your department. Students who receive awards are expected to pursue full-time graduate study. There are three different grants available.
