Auditions

The department season consists of three major productions, directed and designed by faculty, guest artists, and students; students also direct, design, and act in one act studio productions, and participate in writing, acting and directing for the New Play Reading Series. Majors and non-majors are welcome to audition for and work on productions.

THE OPEN MEETING

By A.R. Gurney
Directed by Tabitha Reid

The Open Meeting chronicles a public meeting’s rapid devolvement into a mystery of betrayed identity and political scandal. In this uptempo, absurdist comedy, three combative coworkers confront democracy, ritual and primitive masculinity of Oedipal proportions.

REVOLT. SHE SAID. REVOLT AGAIN.

By Alive Birch
Directed by Mateenah Adeleke

Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again. is a bold, electric series of vignettes that tears up the script on gender with humor and rage. This play interrogates how deeply power is embedded in the ways we speak, work, and love. Explosive, funny, and unapologetically radical, Birch invites us to dream of a revolution.

Auditions

Sunday, October 5 and Monday, October 6 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Acting Studio 1, Mendenhall CPA
Please let us know if you are interested but unable to make either date. Callbacks will be on Tuesday, October 7.

Performances

December 5 and 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Hallie Flanagan Studio Theatre
