Mikaela Laine

Biography

Mikaela Laine has a special interest in the neurobiology of psychological phenomena, and a passion for education. She acquired her undergraduate degree in Psychology and was keen to better understand the intersections of psychology and neuroscience across species. During her doctoral and post-doctoral work she investigated how individual differences, such as genetic factors and sex, affect responses to stressful experiences at the level of the brain and behavior. Outside academia she is an avid crafter and dog-owner.
