Michael Robson

Biography
Michael Robson's research is focused on parallelizing, scaling, and accelerating scientific and other research applications from laptops to the largest supercomputers on the planet. He is interested in next generation platforms for high performance and parallel computing, has expertise in utilizing GPUs for scientific applications, and is a core contributor to a large scale runtime that undergirds many scientific programs. Robson is also involved in efforts to educate the broader scientific community on the benefits of and how to use high performance computing (HPC). He received his PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his BS in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Alabama.
