Biography
Featured on NPR, Jim Johnson has spoken about hunting with his father and how it taught him to accept discomfort and face burdens for those he loves.
Johnson teaches courses in exercise physiology, kinesiology, biomechanics, sports medicine, the first-year seminar The Explorers, and he is the director of the Human Performance Lab. He is the first author of Applied Sports Medicine for Coaches, published by Lippincott Williams and Wilkins. His primary area of interest is how to train athletes to perform while reducing the frequency of injury.
