Poetry Center Director Matt Donovan Co-Creates Emily Dickinson Exhibit

“A Something Overtakes the Mind,” an installation co-created by Matt Donovan, director of The Boutelle-Day Poetry Center, is on view at the Emily Dickinson Museum through December 21. In addition to objects from the museum collection, the installation features two sets of Dickinson family objects: wallpaper fragments from the poet’s bedroom and pieces of unassembled quilts. It also offers viewers a chance to participate in a hands-on poetry-making station.
