Read, Write & Create is a podcast hosted by award-winning author, journalist, and educator Lori L. Tharps ’94. The biweekly show offers what Tharps calls “bite-sized creative pep talks for BIPOC writers.” Some episodes focus on BIPOC literary icons (Zora Neale Hurston, Octavia E. Butler), while others feature interviews with successful BIPOC writers (Tracey Michae’l Lewis-Giggetts, Jabari Asim). “I created Read, Write & Create so I could share my love for all things literary with like-minded BIPOC readers and writers,” Tharps writes on the podcast’s website. “Read, Write & Create is my contribution to a literary tradition of freedom writers who use their words to change the world.”
