The Department of Music presents a special screening of Radical Harmonies (2002) an 88-minute documentary produced and directed by Academy Award nominee Dee Mosbacher that chronicles what became known as the Women's Music Cultural Movement. Through festival and performance footage, interviews, and archival material, Radical Harmonies delves into the history of a musical culture based on a commitment to diversity, personal integrity, feminism, and women loving women.  There will be a Q & A following the screening with special guests Dr. Boden Sandstrom, co-producer and June Millington, one of the artists featured in the film. This event is sponsored by the Music Department, ARX, Special Collections, and the Institute for Musical Arts. Free and open to the public.
