Hear from Smithies who spent their summer interning with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and find out how you might intern with NOAA in summer 2027! Today's presentations include Susie Hodson '27: "Economic impacts of ocean- and marine-related education"; Isabella Brothers '27J "Measuring spatial and temporal trends in coral calcification using skeletal density band analysis"; Cynthia Arguijo '27J "Assessing the use of high resolution Planet satellite data to improve Harmful Algal Bloom (HAB) forecasts in coastal systems"; and Josie Miller '27 "Evaluation of conservation science as an ecosystem service".
