Here for Every Voice: Generation to Generation

Access has been central to Smith’s mission since our founding. Today, it is the college’s top priority. That’s why Smith launched the Here for Every Voice initiative to ensure that every qualified student from every walk of life can experience a Smith education.

Together, from generation to generation, Smithies are supporting the right to an excellent liberal arts education and the power it holds. Please join the hundreds of alums who are making a difference. Together, you are changing young lives. Together, you are transforming the world.

Take advantage of gift matching and collective giving to increase your impact.

Why Do I Give to Financial Aid?

Nikki Radford ’04

Nikki Radford ’04 was on a path toward public service from an early age, but an open house for Smith’s new Picker Engineering Program—the first of its kind at a women’s college—changed the trajectory of her life. Now an environmental scientist, Radford gives to financial aid so that the next generation of STEM professionals can access a life-changing education.

Radford’s generosity is helping students like Seunghyeon Kim ’26 launch their own careers of service. Kim is a sociology and statistical and data sciences double major who’s planning to use her multidisciplinary skills to craft equitable, effective public policy.

Why Do I Give to Financial Aid?

Xiaole Shirley Liu ’97

Xiaole Shirley Liu ’97 found life-changing inspiration in Smith’s biology lab. She’s now a computational biologist, world-class researcher, and co-founder of a groundbreaking company zeroing in on a cancer cure.

Liu couldn’t have attended Smith without financial aid. And she’s giving back to support financial aid for current and future students, like Adline Dely ’26, who dreams of deciphering the mysteries of life by delving into the “fascinating world where genetics, molecular biosciences, and chemistry intersect.”
